The K. H. Renlund Museum’s Roos House, Exhibition Hall, Lassander House and Pedagogy are open throughout the year.

  • And the War Was Horrendous

    17 May–8 September 2024

    Get to know the battles through art. The exhibition brings together depictions of war from the 19th century to the present day, featuring selected works from the collections of the City of Kokkola.

    Alajärvi-based artist Elina Försti’s paintings are based on the old Ostrobothnian architecture of her local environment, except that the familiar hay and drying barns have been given fresh colours and forms.

  • Masters of the Golden Age in the Roos House

    Pitkänsillankatu 39.
    Opening hours: Tue–Sun 11–16, Thu 11–18

    Works from the Golden Age of Finnish Art are the focal point on the top floor of the Roos House. The collection includes pieces from artists such as Beda Stjernschantz, Magnus Enckell, Albert Edelfelt, Pekka Halonen and Viktor Westerholm.

    The cozy courtyard of the Museum Quarter is framed by the Exhibition Hall, the Pedagogy and the Lassander House as well as Kieppi, Kokkola Museum of Natural History, and the Waffle Café, which is open during the summer.

  • Touring exhibitions

    Elina Warsta’s exhibition From beyond the mountains, lands and seas will tour Central Ostrobothnian libraries from the 3rd of April to the 17th of November 2024.
